Ng Bee Chai Foundation Scholarship

The Ng Bee Chai (NBC) foundation was established in 1999 with the objective of promoting higher education by providing scholarship and bringing cheer to the old folks community by creating meaningful events to bring them together. The NBC foundation is set up to unite people together and at the same time give back to the community that believed in us.

Since then, the NBC Foundation has become a major and integral activity of the NBC Group. Through the Foundation, the Group perpetuates its tradition of assisting the needy and rewarding achievers. It will continue to generous contribute to educational, welfare and health care organizations on a regular basis.

Fields of Study
Degree or professional course in local university or Institute of Higher Learning.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a student who excels in academic and extra-curricular activities, of good character and from poor family(poverty)
• He/She must have passed the relevant entry examinations and has been offered a place of study by local university (1st year entry student).
• He/She must not bonded or holding any other scholarship or financial assistance from any organization
• He/She must be single status. Married status is not acceptable.
• The foundation will not accept any incomplete forms/application details.
• He/She must be a Malaysian and a resident from Klang valley only.

Value of Scholarship
Successful application shall be entitiled to receive scholarship of RM5,000.00 per academic year(subject to annual review by the committee of the recipients performance and conduct at the end of each academic year) until completion of the bachelor degree or professional course. Number of scholarship to be awarded in each year shall depend on the availability of fund of the Foundation and shall be decided by the Committee.

How to Apply
The applicant must prepare:

• 2 sets of the completed Scholarship Application Form (photocopies of form is acceptable)
• 2 copies of the applicant's CV (in either Chinese, BM or English)
• 2 copies of either United Chinese Schools (UCSE) Examination or STPM examination certificate or result slips.
• 2 copies of his/her recent colour passport size photograph (non-returnable).
