MBAM Education Fund Awards 2010

The Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) Education Fund Scholarship Awards 2010 is now open for application.

Malaysian citizens applying for or currently pursuing, undergraduate degree courses related to the construction industry at the following universities are eligible for the Scholarship Awards:

Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM), Universiti Institute Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTMM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHO), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UMPerlis) and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMPahang).

Eligibility

• Must be a Malaysian citizen
• Following a course in an approved local institution of higher learning duly recognized and/or accepted by the appropriate authority and eligible to enter such approved local institution of higher learning;
• Following or will enroll for a course of study in any discipline related to the construction industry;
• Not holding any other scholarship; and
• Able to obtain a third party guarantor to the BOM for the award (if required)

Evaluation Criteria

• Academic results based on CGPA score
• Needs – household income,household status,single parent,number dependent
• Extracurricular activity and sport
• Parent’s employment status – construction related, type of job, designation, status    of  MBAM membership
• Field of study – construction related or non-construction related course
• The applicants were also assessed on their language proficiency, inter-personal communication skills, leadership traits etc. 

How to Apply
Download and complete the application form. All applications must be accompanied by a copy of the applicant's latest examination results (STPM or Matriculation or equivalent) and a stamped selt-addressed envelope (17.5cm x 25cm).

The completed application should be inserted into an envelope marked "MBAM Education Fund 2010" at the top left hand corner, and sent to:
