Higher Opportunities for Private Education (HOPE) Programme

The HOPE programme is established to coordinate the placement of students who are unable to secure a place in local public universities in Malaysia (IPTA), into academic programmes offered by local private universities, university colleges and approved colleges (IPTS).

Students enrolled by the consortium are eligible to pay 'subsidised fees' arranged by the HOPE Programme, which is comparable to those charged by local universities.

Eligibility
Students will have to meet the eligibility and entry requirements for each course. The minimum standards set are:
- For STMP students: to obtain a CGPA of at least 2.0, and at least 5 credit passes at SPM level;
- For SPM or UEC students: to obtain at least 3 Credits at SPM.
- Current College/University students are not eligible to apply through HOPE Programme.

There may be other criteria set, depending on the programme or course in question.
