Graduate Development Programme

Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is one of the components of the SC Executive Enhancement and Development (SEED) programme. GDP is developed by Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), the training arm of the SC. Funded by the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF), it aims to produce ‘entry level market professionals’ who are equipped with the necessary technical and interpersonal skills to enter the capital market industry. These graduates will also be able to sit for the Securities Commission’s licensing examinations to become licensed practitioners.

If you’re an unemployed graduate who’s interested in pursuing a career in the capital market industry, then the GDP is for you!

If you’re selected, you will undergo:


PHASE ONE

An intensive six-week training course that provides you with comprehensive technical knowledge and skills in capital market, communication skills, thinking skills, professional etiquette and social skills through interactive and activity-based training programme.


PHASE TWO

A twenty two-month attachment (practical training) with the capital market industry intermediaries (organizations) to gain working experience in the capital market

Eligibility

    • You’re Malaysian, aged 27 years and below
    • You Possess a high level of English proficiency
    • You have a local of foreign degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in any of the following fields: accounting, Banking, business, study, economics, finance, law, statistics

Value of Scholarship

  • A monthly allowance of RM 1,500.00
  • Hands-on exposure via on-the-job training in the capital market industry
  • Technical skills relevant to the capital market industry
  • Inter-personal skills to meet the demands of the marketplace
  • Any opportunity to prepare and sit for the Securities Commission’s licensing examinations
