Chinese Independent Schools (UEC) Scholarship

The University of Nottingham (Malaysia Campus) invites applications from Malaysian students for the Chinese Independent Schools (UEC) Scholarships. Up to 10 full academic scholarships (tuition fees only) are made available in year 2010 and are open to Malaysian students only. This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate programmes of study and applicable for both the January and September intakes.

Eligibility

• Have completed the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) qualification
• Have obtained a minimum of 6As and 1B and above
• Must have demonstrated good leadership qualities and have been an active participant in sports and school activities
• Must not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or rewards from other educational institutions or organizations.
• Obtained a Conditional/Unconditional offer letter.

    Undergraduate degree: RM 28,000 / year x 3 years = RM 84,000

    BEng/MEng (Honours) Electrical Engineering

   Value of Scholarship
   Undergraduate degree: RM 34,000 / year x 4 years = RM 136,000

Faculty of Arts and Education

    School of Modern Languages and Cultures
    BA (Hons) International Communication Studies

    Value of Scholarship
    Undergraduate degree: RM 28,000 / year x 3 years = RM 84,000

Application forms can be obtained from the Sponsorship Unit or downloaded from the website. Applications are now open and the closing date is Monday, 15 January 2011. Candidates that have been shortlisted for an interview will be notified within one week from the closing deadline.
