The Carlsberg Hua Zong Education Fund (CEF) Study Loan

The Carlsberg Hua Zong Education Fund (CEF) Study Loan is open to all Malaysian citizens who are enrolled in local or foreign institutions of higher learning hold certificates in UEC, SPM or STPM; Diplomas; and/or any higher certificates; and are ambitious, enthusiastic and responsible.

The Carlsberg Hua Zong Education Fund (CEF) Study Loan, which is interest-free, was established to fulfill the following missions :

• To provide financial assistance to ambitious students and help them in their pursuit of success.
• To facilitate the development of education, manifesting the spirit of inheriting the past and ushering in the future.
• To train more talents who will contribute to a thriving nation.   

The CEF aims to create a knowledge-based society, where students are given sufficient resources to go miles ahead. They will also be able to showcase the brilliance of their talents.

Eligibility

• Any Malaysian citizen who has been accepted into a local or foreign institution of higher learning.
• Hold certificates in UEC, SPM or STPM; Diplomas; and/or any higher certificates; 
• Applicants who are ambitious, enthusiastic and responsible.

Value of Scholarship

• Every beneficiary will receive an interest-free loan of RM5,000 in each academic year for the official duration of the course.
• The Fund Management Committee will determine the number of beneficiaries for each year based on the fund’s annual financial status

How to Apply
Applicants are required to submit the following documents to The Federation of Chinese Associations, Malaysia before the application deadline:

- Three copies of the completed loan application form (photocopies are   allowed)
- IC (photocopy)
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Academic transcripts (photocopies certified by the relevant institution)
- Certificates of Award or Achievement (photocopies)
- Letter of Admission or Certificate of Enrolment from the institution of higher learning (photocopy certified by the relevant institution)
- ICs of two guarantors (photocopies)
- Proofs of income of two guarantors, e.g. pay slip, income tax Form J or employment letter (photocopies)
